Just a little something… We been working on brining some additional features to the platform and one of them was to introduce a self assessment security survey. We wanted to introduce something to help small & medium sized businesses (SMB) that are still trying to find their way to growing and maturing their early security posture. Large organisation have invested a lot of money into fortifying their defensive capabilities and implemented robost security awareness programs, the latest next generation security appliance, large cyber security teams and in most times can recover from a security incident quickly.

RunDLL32.exe Obscurity

RunDLL Wierdness While working on building a couple new simulation modules for ATTACKIFY, we came across an interesting feature within rundll32.exe. When creating some test DLL files we created exported functions with the following names: So at this point our DLL has two exported functions named MyFunction and MyFunctionA (this was originally just testing). The first function, MyFunction could contain potentially malicious code, however in this case it only displays a message box to indicate where you are in the execution.

April Updates

Big month of updates April was a big month for ATTACKIFY in regards to updates on the platform, this includes a major effort to update front-end and backend components to version 1.3.0 and then we had a number of new modules come in over the last few months. Some of the new & updated modules include: Malicious Office Macro Execution ATTACKIFY endpoint agents can safely simulate end-users executing "malicious" macro enabled Microsoft Word Documents on Windows.

Hello World...

Hello World… It’s been a long time in the works, but we are excited to finally get to a point where we will be officially launching ATTACKIFY soon! That means that there is now an actual website and blog for it and we are busy testing with a small number of close contacts and slowly going to open access to more organizations. After working within the cyber security industry for a long long time across various disciplines including penetration testing, consulting, security engineering, malware analysis and a whole bunch of other fields…We are happy to get to a point where we are about to release something that we feel addresses an area in cyber security that needs a little more of attention…
